Results are based on queries to manufacturer databases, warranty registries, lost/stolen device lists and other third-party sources accessed through authorised APIs available at the time of verification. Codat does not own or manage these databases and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of the information they provide.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Codat is not liable for:

• inaccuracies, omissions or errors originating from external data sources, including delays in updating records;
• temporary or permanent unavailability of the service caused by technical factors or third parties;
• any commercial, financial, legal or technical decision made wholly or partly on the basis of this report;
• changes in device status occurring after the time of verification (e.g. subsequent reporting as stolen, MDM enrolment, etc.).

Personal data processing

Data submitted for verification (IMEI, serial number) is processed by Codat as data controller, on the basis of the service agreement, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Privacy Policy available at codat.ro. Such data is not sold or transferred to third parties beyond the data providers required to perform the verification.

Use of the report

This report is intended for the personal or legitimate commercial use of the person who commissioned the verification. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use of the report without Codat's written consent is prohibited. The report may not be used as an official document in real-estate transactions, legal proceedings or insurance claims.
