Codat.ro is an online platform that offers instant IMEI code verification services for mobile devices. We help you make informed decisions when buying or selling a phone.

Through IMEI verification, you can find out a wide range of information, such as: the exact model, warranty status, whether it is reported as lost/stolen (blacklist), the original carrier, whether it is network locked and the "Find My iPhone" status for Apple devices.

Our service is compatible with most popular brands, including Apple (iPhone), Samsung, Google, Huawei, Xiaomi and many others. Practically, it works for any device that has an IMEI code.

Creating an account allows you to save your verification history, download PDF reports, manage credits and access special offers. The process is quick and secure.

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email. You need to access the link in that email to activate your account and be able to log in. Users registered through Google or Facebook have their account activated automatically.

First, check your Spam/Junk folder. If you still can't find it, you can request to resend the email from the login page or using the link on the notification page.

You can request account deletion from your profile settings section. For security reasons, you will need to confirm this action through a link you will receive by email.

For verifications made with an account, we keep the data for 2 years in your history so you can access it anytime. For verifications made without an account (as a guest), the data is automatically deleted after 30 days to protect privacy. This policy complies with GDPR regulations and ensures minimization of stored personal data.

You can reset your password using the "Forgot password" option on the login page. You will receive a secure link by email to set a new password.

We offer both free verifications with basic information, as well as paid premium verifications that provide access to complete reports. You can purchase prepaid credits for premium verifications.

Credits are virtual points used exclusively for IMEI/Serial verifications on our platform. 1 verification costs between 1-10 credits, depending on the complexity of the chosen service. Credits have no monetary value and cannot be withdrawn as money. They can be purchased in advantageous packages or earned through our referral program. Credits never expire and remain permanently in your account.

Yes, our platform allows you to generate and download a detailed report in PDF format for each complete verification performed, directly from your customer account.

IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique 15-digit code for each phone. You can usually find it by dialing *#06# on the phone, on the original device box or in the settings menu, under the "About phone" section.

Our information is collected from official global databases of manufacturers and carriers. We strive to offer the highest possible accuracy, however the status of a device can change. We recommend using the service as an essential verification tool, but not as an absolute guarantee.

We accept secure payments by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard etc.) through our payment processor EuPlatesc. All transactions are encrypted and secure.

In rare cases, a query may fail due to temporary problems with partner databases. In this case, the credit will not be consumed. If you suspect that the data is incorrect, please contact technical support and we will investigate the situation.

Absolutely. We use SSL encryption for all communication, and payment details are processed directly by EuPlatesc, one of the safest processors in Romania. We do not store your card information on our servers.

Account security is a priority. We use advanced techniques such as "hashing" for password storage, which means that even we do not have access to your password. In addition, sensitive actions, such as creating or deleting the account, require additional confirmation via email, ensuring that only you have control.

AppleCare is the official warranty and technical support program provided by Apple. Every new Apple device comes with a 1-year limited warranty. AppleCare+ is an extended insurance, purchased separately, which includes coverage for accidental damage. The warranty is automatically voided if the device was repaired in unauthorized service centers.

SimLock (Network Lock) restricts the phone to only work with SIM cards from a specific carrier, and can often be officially unlocked. GSX (Chimaera Device Policy) Lock is a much stricter policy applied primarily in the US for unpaid installments or stolen/lost phones; these phones cannot be permanently unlocked and will relock upon the first update or reset.

Knox Guard (KG) is a hardware-level security service implemented by Samsung, used to lock phones purchased on unpaid installments/subscriptions or stolen. Even after a Factory Reset, the phone will require a network connection and lock again immediately, making it unusable.

There are few guaranteed options. SimLock can often be resolved through official unlocking. For MDM or Knox, there are hardware/software bypass methods that limit functionality and disappear upon reset/update. In the case of FMI/iCloud Lock (the most severe), without original account credentials, the device is unusable, and it is recommended to sell it for parts.

The "EMEA Service" policy is not a lock, but a predefined activation profile Apple applies to new sealed phones sold in major European retail stores. Upon its first activation (detecting the first SIM), the phone conforms to that carrier: it will either become unlocked or lock (SimLock) to that network if purchased on installments. Having EMEA on a sealed phone is perfectly normal behavior.
