This notice explains what a Codat report can confirm, its limitations, and how it may be used safely.
Purpose of the report
The report generated by FIXLY TECHNOLOGY SRL ("Codat") is an informational tool. It is not an official guarantee, certificate or attestation of the device's authenticity, ownership, technical condition, functionality or market value.
What the report does not verify
The report does not replace a physical inspection, transaction documents, or confirmation obtained directly from the manufacturer, carrier or competent authorities.
- it does not confirm the seller's identity, ownership rights or the lawful origin of the device;
- it does not confirm physical condition, component operation or repairs that do not appear in the consulted sources;
- a result with no records only means that no record was found in the sources available at that time; it does not conclusively prove the absence of theft, a lock, a dispute or another risk.
Sources and timing of the data
Results come from manufacturer databases, warranty registries, lost or stolen device lists, carriers and other third-party providers available for the ordered verification. Codat does not own or operate these sources.
The report is a snapshot of the data available at the date and time of verification. Records may be incomplete, delayed, changed or added later.
Codat is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by GSMA, Apple, Samsung or other trademark owners mentioned in the report. Names and trademarks are used solely for descriptive purposes.
Submitted data and interpretation
The report relates solely to the IMEI or serial number submitted with the order. The user must verify that the identifier is correct, complete and matches the physical device presented.
AI-generated summaries and answers may contain incorrect interpretations. The individual data points and statuses displayed in the report take precedence over any automated summary.
Using and sharing the report
The customer may use the report for legitimate personal or commercial purposes and may share it in full through the secure link and sharing feature provided by Codat.
The following are not permitted:
- reselling the report or systematically redistributing it without Codat's written permission;
- altering the report, presenting it incompletely, or removing its source, identifier or verification date;
- presenting the report as an official certificate of ownership, authenticity, technical condition or eligibility for compensation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Codat is not liable for:
- inaccuracies, omissions or errors originating from external data sources, including delays in updating records;
- temporary interruptions caused by technical issues, third parties or circumstances outside Codat's reasonable control, without affecting mandatory remedies provided by law;
- commercial, financial, legal or technical decisions made solely or predominantly on the basis of the report without reasonable additional checks;
- changes in device status occurring after the time of verification (e.g. subsequent reporting as stolen, MDM enrolment, etc.).
Where a limitation is permitted by law, Codat's total liability for the relevant verification is limited to the amount actually paid for that verification.
Nothing in this notice limits mandatory consumer rights or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

The service and this notice are governed by Romanian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules. If a problem arises, contact Codat first; consumers may then refer the matter to ANPC, the Romanian ADR procedure or the competent courts.
