Our check methodology

How a report is built

1. We validate the format of the IMEI or serial number you entered.
2. We identify the model and choose the checks compatible with that device.
3. We query the available sources for the selected checks.
4. We normalise the responses and separate the facts received from their interpretation.
5. We explain the signals, the limits and the practical steps that must be confirmed in person.

What it can confirm

• • The identification reported by the source consulted: model, configuration or related information.
• • The signals returned at the time of the check for the services ordered.
• • Mismatches between the identifier, the model and the information provided by the seller.
• • Recommendations based solely on the data available for that device.

What it cannot guarantee

• • That the device will not be reported, blocked or disputed after the check.
• • Legal ownership, the authenticity of the invoice or the identity of the seller.
• • Physical condition, battery, installed parts or defects that require direct inspection.
• • That a result exists in every database, country or mobile network.
• • A purchase decision without a reset, activation and a check of the documents.

Freshness and traceability

Every result must be read together with the date of the check and the service that produced it. Source availability varies by brand, country and type of check. If a source does not respond or does not cover the device, the report must show that limit, not invent a result.

Editorial policy

General guides are kept separate from individual reports. We do not extrapolate a single result to every phone of a model, and we do not publish statistics without a period, a sample and a calculation method. When a claim cannot be demonstrated, we remove it or present it explicitly as a limit.
